Miranda Richardson is an award-winning English actress, who is famous for her work in films such as ‘Damage’, ‘Fatherland’, ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ and ‘Belle’. Richardson studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and initially appeared only in theatre. She had a very successful career, appearing in plays such as ‘A Lie of the Mind’, and ‘Grasses of a Thousand Colours’.
She made her film debut in the biographical drama ‘Dance with a Stranger’. She also started playing Queen Elizabeth I in the TV series ‘Blackadder II’. Some her best and critically acclaimed works are ‘Damage’ (1992), ‘The Apostle’ (1997), ‘Spider’ (2002), ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’(2005) and ‘Belle’ (2013).
Her most commercially successful works include ‘The Crying Game’, (1992), ‘Sleepy Hollow’ (1999), ‘The Hours’ (2002), ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ (2005) and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows- Part 1’ (2010). Her unsuccessful works include ‘Churchill: The Hollywood Years’ (2004) and ‘A Fox’s Tale’ (2008).
