In 2011, she joined the lead cast of the American espionage thriller television series ‘Homeland’ as ‘Carrie Mathison.’ The series ran for 8 seasons and aired its final episode in 2020. Danes also became a recipient of several awards, including 2 ‘Primetime Emmy Awards’ and 2 ‘Golden Globe Awards,’ for her performance in the series.
