Jake Lloyd is best known for playing young ‘Anakin Skywalker’ in the 1999 film ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.’ He starred in five ‘Star Wars’ video games. Even though the ‘Star Wars’ prequel trilogy was a major success, Lloyd was criticized for his role in the film, to the point that he often got bullied in school, which deteriorated his mental health.
Before he was signed for ‘Star Wars,’ Jake had already appeared in his breakthrough film, ‘Unhook the Stars,’ in 1996. He also starred in Christmas comedy ‘Jingle All the Way’ and TV film ‘Apollo 11’ in the same year.
He made his TV debut in ‘ER’ as ‘Jimmy Sweet,’ in 1996.He also appeared in American action TV series ‘The Pretender’ (1996-99). In 2005, he starred in the drama ‘Madison.’ He later quit Hollywood to study films and psychology.
