Tom Sturridge is a British actor, best known for appearing in films such as ‘Vanity Fair’ (2000) and ‘Being Julia’(2004). He started his acting career in TV adaptation of ‘Gulliver’s Travels,’ in 1996. His acting career was relaunched in 2004 with TV film ‘A Waste of Shame’ in which he played ‘William Herbert.’ In 2006, he played ‘Nigel’ in psychological thriller, ‘Like Minds.’ He also played lead in 2009 comedy ‘The Boat The Rocked.’ His other films include ‘Waiting for Forever’ (2011), ‘Effie Gray’ (2013), ‘Remainder’ (2015) and ‘Journey’s End’ (2017). He was recently seen in ‘Netflix’s ‘Velvet Buzzsaw’ as ‘Jon Dondon.’ He is also a stage actor, and won ‘2009 Critics' Circle Theatre Award’ for his debut role in ‘Punk Rock’ in 2009. He earned a ‘Tony Award’ nomination for his role in ‘Orphan’ (2013). He is also known for starring as ‘Winston Smith’ in Broadway production of ‘1984’ (2017).
