Lois Chiles is best known for her role as the NASA scientist ‘Dr. Holly Goodhead’ in the James Bond movie ‘Moonraker’ (1979). She started her career as a fashion model and made her debut on the big screen in the racially charged drama ‘Together for Days’ (1972).
During her early career, she starred alongside stars like Robert Redford, Barbra Streisand, and Mia Farrow in ‘The Way We Were’ (1973) and ‘The Great Gatsby’ (1974).
Her highest rated performances came as Jennifer Mack in ‘Broadcast News’ (1987) and as Mrs. Court in ‘Say Anything’ (1989).
Few of her movies like ‘The Babysitter’ (1996) and ‘Speed 2 – Cruise Control’ (1997) failed at the box office. Chiles has appeared in a number of television series, including ‘’Dallas’ (1982 – 1983), ‘Murder She Wrote’ (1990), and ‘The Nanny’ (1999).
Besides acting, she also wrote and directed the season five of the forensic crime drama series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ (2005).
