Renowned for his portrayal of Judge Harry Stone in ‘Night Court’, a television drama series, Harry Anderson was drawn to the art of magic when he was young. Before entering the showbiz he earned his bread as a street magician in San Francisco. From 1981 to 1985 he appeared in ‘Saturday Night Live’ which resulted in getting him the role of con man in ‘Cheers.’ He followed it up by appearing in a number of shows and television specials, including ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.’ From 1993 to 1997 Anderson was seen in ‘Dave’s World’, a television sitcom that was based on the life of ‘Dave Barry.’ He co-wrote a book titled ‘Games You Can’t Lose: A Guide for Suckers.’ Some of his other successful and not so successful performances and works include ‘The Science of Magic,’ ‘Hexing a Hurricane,’ ‘What’s My Line?,’ ‘A Matter of Faith,’ ‘Comedy Bang! Bang!,’ ‘Harvey,’ ‘Spies, Lies and Naked Thighs,’ ‘The Absent-Minded Professor,’ ‘The Escape Artist’ etc.
