American professional wrestler and actor John William Minton is better known by his ring name, Big John Studd. He is known for his participation in the World Wide Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Federation in the 1970s and 80s. He specialised in acting in movies playing the role of heavies and bikers.
His highest rated performances are in the movies ‘Micki + Maude’ (1984), ‘Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man’ (1991) and ‘The Marrying Man’ (1991). His roles in ‘Hyper Space’ (1989) and ‘Caged in Paradiso’ (1990) were too insignificant to be rated. His other movie appearances include ‘The Protector’ (1985) and ‘Shock ‘Em Dead’ (1991).

The Marrying Man is a romantic drama musical film which tells the story of Charley, a rich millionaire playboy, who meets a singer named Vicki and falls madly in love with her, despite the fact that he barely even knows her. However, her boyfriend is a gangster, and when he finds them together in bed, instead of killing Charley, he forces them to get married. This jeopardizes Charley’s life as his girlfriend leaves him, and it soon seems that Vicki is not his kind of woman at all.
