Willow Smith is an American actress and musician who is the youngest daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Willow started her career early and appeared in a child role in Will Smith’s ‘I Am Legend’ in 2008. She impressed the audiences and critics with her debut role itself and received nomination for the Young Artist Award as Best Actress. She followed the success with ‘Kit Kittredge: An American Girl’ and received praise for her acting. It is also known as the best Willow Smith role of her entire career.
She then worked under the mentorship of Jay Z and released two singles under his Roc Nation label, titled ‘Whip my Hair’ and ‘21st Century Girl’. Returning back to films for a while, she voiced the character of baby Gloria in the animated film ‘Madagascar 2: Return to Africa’, which was then followed by a voice role in the TV film ‘Merry Madagascar’. In 2009, she played a role in the series ‘True Jackson VP’, which also happens to be her last screen appearance as an actor.
She has cleared her intentions to focus on her music career and there might be a chance that her filmography will not include many more titles anytime soon.
