Jada Pinkett Smith is an American actress and the wife of Hollywood actor Will Smith. In 1991, she bagged a recurring role on the sitcom 'A Different World' and was subsequently promoted to main cast in the final season. Her early filmography included dramatic films such as 'Menace II Society' (1993), 'Jason's Lyric' (1994) and 'Set It Off' (1996), as well as the slapstick comedy 'The Nutty Professor' (1996), the slasher film 'Scream 2' (1997), and the thriller 'Return to Paradise' (1998).
She had a starring role in the romantic comedy 'Woo' (1998), but the film is considered one of her worst movies by critics and audiences alike, alongside 'Bamboozled' (2000). In 2003, she was cast as Niobe in 'The Matrix Reloaded' and 'The Matrix Revolutions', the last two films in the top grossing 'Matrix' trilogy. She had a supporting role in the 2004 thriller 'Collateral', and written, directed and acted in the 2008 drama film 'The Human Contract'. Her return to television with a lead role in the 2009 medical drama 'Hawthorne' was received with mixed reviews. She voiced Gloria in the 'Madagascar' series. Some of her recent successful films include 'Magic Mike XXL', 'Bad Moms' and 'Girls Trip'.
