Ruby Rose Langenheim is a recording artist, actress, and television personality from Australia. Before turning to films, Ruby was a successful model, having appeared in big-time fashion magazines such as ‘Maxim’, ‘Nylon’, ‘Vogue Australia’, and ‘InStyle Magazine.’ She started off as a model with the ‘Girlfriend’ model search in 2002 and managed to secure second place. Rose made her debut as a VJ in 2007 on MTV Australia. Her tenure with the music channel was a successful one, winning her an ASTRA Award in 2009 for Favourite Female Personality and empowering her to make a transition to acting.
In July 2019, she appeared as the co-host on the Australian current affairs and talk show, ‘The 7PM Project.’ In October that year, Ruby was cast as the host of the FOX8 reality show ‘Ultimate School Musical.’ In 2010, Ruby Rose became Foxtel’s official correspondent for the Winter Olympics.
She first appeared in the 2013 film ‘Around the Block’. Cast alongside industry veterans Christina Ricci and Jack Thompson, Rose held her own. In 2016, Rose appeared as ‘Abigail’ in the sci-fi/action film ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.’ Despite opening to a mixed reception, the movie managed to rake in big numbers at the box office.
In 2017, she starred as ‘Adele Wolff’ in the third installment of the ‘XXX film series’, ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage.’ The movie received mixed reviews but became a huge commercial success and ended up becoming the highest-grossing film in the series. The same year saw the release of ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ where she played the character of ‘Ares.’ The movie opened to a positive response with an 89% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Ruby Rose was then seen in the musical comedy film ‘Pitch Perfect 3‘ (2017).
The year 2018 saw only one release of Ruby Rose with the Jon Turteltaub-directed ‘The Meg’ where she played the role of ‘Jaxx.’ ‘The Meg’ became a box office success despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics. In 2020, Ruby rose gave her voice in the animated horror-comedy film ‘Cranston Academy: Monster Zone.’ Her next release that year was the Ryuhei Kitamura-directed action/thriller ‘The Doorman.’ In 2021, Ruby appeared in ‘SAS: Red Notice’ and ‘Vanquish’
