Lisa Valerie Kudrow was first seen on the sitcom ‘Cheers’ (1989), followed by a role in the sitcom ‘Newhart’ (1990).
Kudrow played minor parts in ‘The Unborn’ (1991), ‘Dance with Death’ (1992) and others. Her first recurring role was as ‘Ursula (Phoebe’s twin)’ in ‘Mad about You’ (1993-1999).
Kudrow’s breakthrough starring role as ‘Phoebe Buffay’ in the widely popular sitcom ‘Friends’ (1994-2004) brought her awards and fame. She starred in comedy films ‘Clockwatchers’ (1997), ‘Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion’ (1997), ‘Analyze This’ (1999), ‘Hanging Up’ (2000), the crime-drama ‘Wonderland’ (2003), and also hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ (1996). Her performance in ‘The Opposite of Sex’ (1998) won her awards.
Kudrow was a co-creator-writer, executive-producer, and also starred in the comedy-drama series ‘The Comeback’ (2005), and its revival (2014), both of which won nominations. She followed up her well-appreciated role in ‘Kabluey’ (2007) with ‘P.S.I Love You’ (2007).
She produced and starred in the comedy-series ‘Web Therapy’ (2011-2015), and produced the genealogy-series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ (2010), fetching nominations.
