Best-known for her performance in ‘Dynasty,’ where she played Krystle Carrington, Linda Evans was introduced to drama through classes that she took to cure her shyness. She was first seen onscreen in an episode of ‘Bachelor Father’ in 1960, in which she appeared as a guest.
From 1960 to 1962, she appeared in a number of guest roles on television, including ‘Wagon Train,’ ‘The Adventure of Ozzie and Harriet,’ and ‘The Lieutenant.’ ‘The Big Valley’ marked her first regular role in a drama television series in 1965. ‘Twilight of Honor’ marked her film debut in 1963. The film earned two ‘Academy Award’ nominations.
She next appeared in several guest roles and also in a number of detectives shows like ‘Mannix,’ ‘McCloud,’ ‘The Rockford Files,’ ‘and ‘McMillian & Wife,’ before appearing in ‘Avalanche Express,’ an adventure thriller which was not well-received.
Her acting in ‘Dynasty’ fetched her a ‘Golden Globe Award’ and a ‘People’s Choice Award.’ She also earned a ‘Primetime Emmy Award’ nomination for the same.
