South Korean actress, singer and director Ku Hye-sun first gained recognition with her performances in television dramas like ‘Pure in Heart’ (2006) and ‘Boys Over Flowers’ (2009). Her other television appearances include her roles in the series ‘Take Care of Us, Captain’ (2012), ‘Angel Eyes’ (2014) and ‘You Are Too Much’ (2017). She has appeared on the big screen in the movies ‘August Rush’ (2007) and ‘Daughter’ (2014). She was also a cast member of the reality show ‘Newlywed Diary’ (2017).
Her earlier endeavour to perform with the girl group called Ria did not work out and she was advised to concentrate on acting. However, Hye-sun always wanted to perform as a musician and went on to release her first single titled ‘Happy Birthday to You’ for the sitcom ‘Nonstop 5’ (2006). She later released the number ‘Sarang Ga’ for the soundtrack of ‘Pure in Heart’ (2012). Her debut album ‘Breath’ was released in 2009.
