Lee Si-young first appeared in the 2008 television series ‘Urban Legends Deja Vu 3.’ That same year, she also played the role of ‘Yeon-hwa’ in the South Korean historical drama ‘The Kingdom of the Winds’ directed by Ji Byung-Hyun and Kang Il-Soo. In 2009, she made her silver screen debut in the South Korean omnibus film ‘Five Senses of Eros’ where she portrayed ‘Jung Se-eun.’ The film grossed over US$2.4 million at the box office. After starring in the television series, ‘Boys Over Flowers’ (2009) and ‘Loving You a Thousand Times’ (2009), Si-young grabbed the role of ‘Bu Tae-hee’ in the 2010 South Korean television series ‘Becoming a Billionaire.’ She became a recipient of the ‘KBS Drama Award’ for her performance in the series. The same year, she also appeared in the South Korean romantic-comedy television series ‘Playful Kiss’ written by Go Eun-nim. The series aired a total of 16 episodes. She continued to star in television series such as ‘Poseidon’ (2011), ‘Wild Romance’ (2012), ‘Golden Cross’ (2014), ‘Righteous Love’ (2014), ‘My Beautiful Bride’ (2015), ‘The Guardians’ (2017), and ‘Risky Romance’ (2018). In 2019, she starred as ‘Lee Hwa-sang’ in the South Korean television series, ‘Liver or Die’ directed by Jin Hyung-wook. Si-young received her second ‘KBS Drama Award’ for her portrayal of ‘Lee Hwa-sang’ in the show. She was last seen in the 2020 South Korean science fiction anthology television series ‘SF8’ where she played the role of ‘Ji-woo.’
