Lee Min-jung was first seen in the 2003 South Korean horror film ‘Wishing Stairs’ directed by Yun Jae-yeon. The following year, she starred in the South Korean romantic comedy film ‘Someone Special’ directed by Jang Jin. The film made its premiere in the United States in 2005 at the New York Asian Film Festival. In 2005, Min-jung made her first television appearance in the drama series ‘Love and Sympathy’ where she played the role of ‘Kim Young-joo.’ She continued to appear in television shows like ‘Love Me When You Can’ (2006), ‘Kimcheed Radish Cubes’ (2007), and ‘Who Are You?’ (2008). In 2009, she starred as ‘Ha Jae-kyung’ in the South Korean television series ‘Boys Over Flowers.’ The series was a massive success and is often remembered for popularizing the Korean high school genre. That same year, she also portrayed ‘Seo Jung-in’ in the South Korean television series ‘Smile, You’ written by Moon Hee-jung. The show aired 45 episodes before going off-air in 2010. She next portrayed ‘Kim Hee-joong’ in the 2010 South Korean romantic comedy ‘Cyrano Agency’ directed by Kim Hyun-seok. The film opened to a positive reception and grossed over $17.9 million at the box office. Min-jung also won several awards, including the ‘Blue Dragon Film Award’ and 2 ‘Grand Bell Awards,’ for her performance in the film.
In 2012, she starred as ‘Shin Jin-ah’ in the South Korean romantic comedy film ‘Wonderful Radio’ directed by Kwon Chil-in. The film grossed over $5.9 million at the box office. She was next seen in television shows like ‘All About My Romance’ (2013), ‘Cunning Single Lady’ (2014), and ‘Come Back Mister’ (2016). In 2018, she joined the main cast of the South Korean television series ‘Fates & Furies’ as ‘Goo Hae-ra.’ The series aired its final episode in 2019. Min-jung was last seen playing the role of ‘Song Na-hee’ in the 2020 South Korean family drama television series ‘Once Again.’
