Park Shin-hye was first seen in the 2003 South Korean television series ‘Stairway to Heaven’ where she played the role of a young ‘Jung-suh.’ She continued to appear in television series like ‘Nonstop 4’ (2004), ‘If Wait for the Next Train Again’ (2004), ‘Very Merry Christmas’ (2004), ‘The New Dad is Twenty-Nine’ (2005), ‘Cute or Crazy’ (2005), ‘One Fine Day’ (2005), and ‘Daddy Long Legs’ (2005). She made her big-screen debut in the 2006 South Korean romance drama film ‘Love Phobia’ directed by Kang Ji-eun. The film received a lukewarm response from critics and was a commercial failure. The following year, she starred as ‘So-yeon / Hyo-jin’ in the South Korean horror film ‘Evil Twin’ directed by Kim Ji-hwan. In 2010, Shin-hye appeared in the South Korean romantic comedy ‘Cyrano Agency.’ The film opened to positive reviews and was a surprise hit at the box office.
Shin-hye was also seen in short films like ‘Waiting for Jang Joon-hwan’ (2012) and ‘One Perfect Day’ (2013). In 2014, she joined the main cast of the South Korean television series ‘Pinocchio.’ She played the role of ‘Choi In-ha’ and remained a part of the series until 2015. She next appeared in television series like ‘Entertainer’ (2016), ‘Gogh, The Starry Night’ (2016), ‘The Doctors’ (2016), and ‘Temperature of Love’ (2017). In 2018, she starred as ‘Jung Hee-joo / Emma’ in the South Korean television series ‘Memories of the Alhambra.’ The show received wide praise from critics and became one of the highest-rated South Korean television shows of all time. ‘Memories of the Alhambra’ aired its final episode in 2019. In 2020, Shin-hye was seen playing the role of ‘Kim Seo-yeon’ in the South Korean thriller film ‘The Call’ directed by Lee Chung-hyun. The film was released on Netflix and received a positive response from critics. She was last seen in the 2021 South Korean television series ‘Sisyphus: The Myth’ where she played the role of ‘Gang Seo-hae.’
