South Korean actor and singer-songwriter Kim Hyun-joong started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the South Korean boy band, ‘SS501,’ in 2005. He has released the Korean EPs ‘Break Down’ (2011), ‘Round 3’ (2013) and ‘Timing’ (2014). His Japanese studio albums include ‘Unlimited’ (2012), ‘Imademo’ (2015), and ‘New Way’ (2019). He is considered one of South Korea’s biggest Hallyu stars of the 2010s.
He is best known on television for his role as Yoon Ji-hoo in the popular television series ‘Boys over Flowers’ (2009). His role as Baek Seung-jo in ‘Playful Kiss’ also received positive reviews. His other television appearances include ‘Nonstop’ (2005), ‘Dream High’ (2011) and ‘Inspiring Generation’ (2014). Kim also participated in the variety shows ‘We Got Married’ (2008) and Barefooted Friends’ (2013). He has appeared in the Korean version of the movie Pi’s Story’ (2006).
