Jennifer Tilly started her screen career in 1983 with minor roles in television series ‘Oh, Madeline,’ and ‘Boone,’ followed by recurring role in the police-procedural drama-series ‘Hill Street Blues’ (1984-1985).
Tilly’s debut-movie was the comedy-drama ‘No Small Affair’ (1984). She next starred in several films, including comedy-films ‘Moving Violations’ (1985) and ‘Johnny Be Good’ (1988), the drama-film ‘Inside Out’ (1986), the thriller ‘Far From Home’ (1989) and an important role in the comedy ‘Let It Ride’ (1989).
Tilly got a major break as a ‘not-so-good singer’ in the romantic comedy drama musical ‘The Fabulous Baker Boys’ (1989). She made guest-appearances in several TV-series, including ‘Cheers’ (1986), starred in the TV-film ‘At Home with the Webbers’ (1993), and the comedy-drama series ‘Key West’ (1993).
Tilly was cast as aspiring actress ‘Olive Neal’ in Woody Allen’s black-comedy crime-film ‘Bullets over Broadway’ (1994), which earned her an ‘Academy Award’ nomination. After starring in the crime thriller ‘Man with a Gun’ (1995) and ‘Edie and Pen’ (1996), she portrayed a complex character of a Mafioso’s ex-moll ‘Violet’ in the neo-noir crime thriller ‘Bound’ (1996), garnering praise. In the fantasy comedy ‘Liar Liar’ (1997), Tilly starred with Jim Carrey and essayed adult club stripper in the erotic drama film ‘Dancing at the Blue Iguana’ (2000). She also starred in the black-comedy ‘The Wrong Guy’ (1997), the romantic-comedy ‘Music from Another Room’ (1998), and the mystery-film ‘Do Not Disturb’ (1999).
In the historical drama ‘The Cat’s Meow’ (2001), Tilly essayed the well-known movie columnist ‘Louella Parsons.’ She portrayed the serial-killer girlfriend, ‘Tiffany Valentine,’  of ‘Chucky’ in horror-movie series ‘Child’s Play,’ she first appeared in ‘Bride of Chucky’ (1998) followed by ‘Seed of Chucky’ (2004), ‘Curse of Chucky’ (2013), ‘Cult of Chucky’ (2017) and TV-series ‘Chucky’ (2021), earning ‘Fangoria Chainsaw’ nominations.
Tilly provided voice-over for ‘Family Guy’ in recurring role (1995-present), ‘Stuart Little’ (1999), ‘Monster, Inc.’ (2001), ‘Scruff’ (2000-2003) amongst others.
Tilly next starred in the horror-comedy ‘The Haunted Mansion’ (2003), the historical-epic (Chinese) ‘Empire of Silver ‘ (2009), the children’s film ‘Bailey’s Billion$’ (2005). She also appeared as the main cast in the sitcom ‘Out of Practice’ (2005-2006) and ‘Monsters at Work’ (2021).
