Elisabeth Röhm’s started her acting career appearing in the role of Dorothy Hayes in the American soap opera ‘One Life to Live’ during 1997-98. For the first few years, she continued to work on television in series such as ‘Fantasy Island’ and ‘Turks’, the telefilm ‘The Invisible Man’ and the two-part miniseries ‘The '60s’. In 1999, she had a starring role in the BBC Northern Ireland miniseries ‘Eureka Street’ and in the American short film ‘Puppet, Love and Mertz’. She appeared in the recurring role of young, skeptical detective Kate Lockley in the supernatural television series ‘Angel’ (1999-2001). She next bagged the main role of Alison Jeffers drama series ‘Bull’ (2000-01). Following an appearance in the 2004 short film ‘Push’, Elisabeth Röhm played the role of Agent Janet McKaren in the Sandra Bullock starrer comedy film ‘Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous’ (2005). It was followed by starring roles in a series of telefilms including ‘FBI: Negotiator’ (2005), ‘Briar & Graves’ (2005) and ‘Amber's Story’ (2006). In 2007, she had her first lead film role as Jennifer Zellan in Jack Snyder’s mystery thriller ‘Ghost Image’, apart from guest appearances in the television series ‘Masters of Science Fiction’ and ‘Big Shots’. The following year, she played the female leads in the drama film ‘The Kreutzer Sonata’ and the mystery film ‘San Saba’, and appeared as Dr. Sophie Miller in an episode of the series ‘The Mentalist’, a role which she reprised in another episode in 2013. She continued to star in more films like the action comedy ‘The Whole Truth’ and the thriller ‘Crimes of the Past’ in 2009. That year, her television credits included the recurring role of Lauren Gilmore in the superhero drama series ‘Heroes’, a guest appearance on the teen drama series ‘90210’ and a lead role in the mystery TV movie ‘Desperate Escape’.
Elisabeth Röhm started the next decade with a minor role in the thriller film ‘Abduction’ and had a starring role in the made-for-television romantic comedy ‘A Kiss for Christmas’. Her other appearances that year were in the movie ‘Mega Shark Versus Mecha Shark’, the documentary ‘Finding Happiness’, and the telefilms ‘A Christmas Kiss II’ and ‘Forget and Forgive’. She again collaborated with David O. Russell in the 2015 biographical comedy-drama film ‘Joy’ starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro. In 2016, Elisabeth Röhm played major roles in the films ‘Everlasting’, ‘Polaris’ and ‘Love Is All You Need?’. She continued to appear on television in series such as ‘The Last Ship’ and ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and telefilms like ‘Seduced’ and ‘Revenge Porn’.
