The year 2000 saw the release of the Stephen Kessler-directed mockumentary comedy film ‘The Independent’ where Silvstedt played the role of ‘Blossom.’ The film received positive to mixed reviews from critics and scored a 60% score on Rotten Tomatoes. In 2001, she starred as ‘Inga’ in the American comedy film ‘Out Cold’ directed by The Malloys. The film was panned by critics and was a commercial failure. She next appeared in the 2002 American romantic comedy film ‘Boat Trip’ directed by Mort Nathan. The film received mostly negative reviews from critics and ultimately tanked at the box office. In 2003, she joined the cast of the Swedish-American low-budget daytime soap opera ‘Joanna Coons’ created by Joanna Coons. She played the role of ‘Detective Johanna Marsden’ and starred in 9 episodes of the series.
She continued to star in films and television series such as ‘Matrimonio alle Bahamas’ (2009), ‘Un'estate al mare’ (2008), ‘Crazy Driving’ (2009), ‘Heartbreaker’ (2010), ‘Bob Ghetto’ (2010), Lookalike! When two slackers, who are also lifelong friends, are challenged to a game of basketball, they counter it saying that they will only be playing a game which they have picked up from the street, in reality inventing the rules as they play. Called BASEketball, it soon becomes a hit, inviting the attention of greedy promoters looking for more profit.
