Andrew Lincoln got his acting break in the 1994 British television sitcom ‘Drop the Dead Donkey’ where he appeared as ‘Terry’ in the episode "Births and Deaths." The following year, Andrew appeared as ‘Ted’ in the feature drama film ‘Boston Kickout.’ He went on to make small appearances on television shows like ‘N7’ (1995), ‘Over Here’ (1996), and ‘Bramwell’ (1996).
Andrew’s first major acting role came in 1996 with the TV drama ‘This Life,’ where he played the character of ‘Edgar "Egg" Cook.’ He remained a part of the show till 1997. He then went on to earn recognition for his roles in television shows like 'The Woman in White' (1997) and 'Bomber' (2000).
In the year 2000, Andrew Lincoln starred in the crime-drama 'Gangster No.1' directed by Paul McGuigan. The movie received a positive response from the critics who praised the direction of the film. That same year, Lincoln appeared as the narrator in the reality television show 'Shipwrecked,' making his reality television debut.

In 2010, Andrew starred as 'Rick Grimes' in the post-apocalyptic television series 'The Walking Dead.' The series became a massive hit with Andrew earning great praise for his performance on the show. He also won several awards for his role, including 'IGN Summer Movie Award,' 'Satellite Award,' 'People's Choice Award,' and 2 'Saturn Awards.' Lincoln made a special appearance as 'Rick Grimes' in 2018 in the 'Fear the Walking Dead,' the spin off to 'The Walking Dead' series.
Lincoln has also been a part of many stage plays, including 'Sugar Sugar' (1998), 'Blue/Orange' (2000-01), 'Free' (2002), 'The Late Henry Moss' (2006), and 'A Christmas Carol' (2020).
Andrew Lincoln was last seen in the Glendyn Ivin-directed 2020 drama film 'Pengiun Bloom' where he played the role of 'Cameron Bloom.'
He is all set to appear in Guillermo del Toro's 'Cabinet of Curiosities,' a horror anthology series to be released in 2022.
