Michael B. Jordan first appeared in the Episode: "Down Neck" of the American crime drama television series ‘The Sopranos’ in 1999. That same year, he made his film debut with the James Toback-directed ‘Black and White.’ The film received negative reviews from critics and failed at the box office. He was next seen in the 2001 American sports Comedy film ‘Hardball’ where he played the role of ‘Jamal.’ The film opened to a mixed reception and was an average commercial success.
In 2003, Jordan joined the main cast of the American television soap opera ‘All My Children.’ He played the character of ‘Reggie Porter Montgomery’ in the series which earned him 3 ‘NAACP Image Award’ nominations. Jordan remained a part of the show until 2006. He next appeared in films like ‘Blackout’ (2007), ‘Pastor Brown’ (2009), ‘Red Tails’ (2012), ‘Chronicle’ (2012), and ‘Hotel Noir’ (2012). After appearing in films like ‘Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox’ (2013 - voice role), ‘That Awkward Moment’ (2014), ‘Fantastic Four’ (2015), he was seen playing the role of ‘Adonis "Donnie" Creed’ in the 2015 American sports drama film ‘Creed’ directed by Ryan Coogler. The film opened to rave reviews for critics and was a massive box office hit. Jordan received several awards for his role including the ‘Black Reel Award’ and ‘NAACP Image Award.’ After taking a 3-year break, Jordan returned to the big screen as ‘N'Jadaka / Erik "Killmonger" Stevens’ in the 2018 American superhero film ‘Black Panther’ directed by Ryan Coogler. The film received universal acclaim upon release and was a phenomenal box office success, managing to become one of the highest-grossing films of all time. That same year, he also appeared in ‘Creed II,’ the sequel to 2015's ‘Creed,’ where he reprised his role of ‘Adonis "Donnie" Creed.’
Jordan was last seen in the 2021 American action thriller film ‘Without Remorse’ directed by Stefano Sollima. He will be next seen in the upcoming drama film ‘A Journal for Jordan’ where he will play the role of ‘Charles Monroe King.’ Jordan will also be seen in ‘Creed 3,’ the ninth installment in the ‘Rocky franchise.’
