Kang So-ra made her debut on the big screen in the thriller ‘4th Period Mystery,’ in 2009. She became famous with her role as Ha Chun-hwa in the coming of age movie ‘Sunny’ (2011).
She did the Korean voice-over for the American fantasy film ‘Brave’ (2012) and made a cameo in ‘Cheer Up Mr. Lee’ (2013). IN 2019, she appeared in ‘Umh Bok-dong’ and ‘I Won’t Hurt You.’
Kang So-ra was cast in the leading role for the television musical drama ‘Dream High 2’ (2012) and family drama ‘Ugly Alert’ (2013) which received mixed reviews. Her performance was appreciated in the medical drama ‘Doctor Stranger’ and the comedy ‘Misaeng: Incomplete Life’ in 2014.
This was followed by her lead role as Lee Jung-joo in the romantic comedy ‘Warm and Cozy’ (2015) and as Lee Eun-jo in the legal drama ‘My Lawyer Mr. Jo’ (2016).
