Choi Tae-joon began his acting career as a child artist in the TV-series ‘Piano’ (2001) in which he portrayed the younger version of the protagonist, followed by a role in the TV-series ‘Magic Kid Ma Soo-ri’ (2002) and the film ‘Project X’ (2003).
Choi’s first adult role was as separated son of the central character in the romance fantasy series ‘Padam Padam’ (2011). He was next seen in the sports drama film ‘Pacemaker’ (2012), the satirical drama-comedy TV series ‘The King of Dramas,’ and the historical series ‘The Great Seer’ (both in 2012).
In 2013, Choi had starring roles in the TV daily-drama ‘Ugly Alert,’ the coming-of-age teen drama ‘Adolescence Medley’ and the daily drama ‘Mother’s Garden’ (2014), which fetched him an award. He next appeared in the TV series ‘A Girl Who Sees Smells’ (2015), ‘All about My Mom’ (2015) and the drama series ‘Flowers of the Prison’ (2016).
Choi appeared as a guest on the social commentary talk show ‘Hello, Counselor,’ following which he became the host of the show (2016-2017). He participated in the reality variety show ‘We Got Married’ and was a cast-member of the variety show ‘Celebrity Bromance’ in 2016. He played a negative role in the disaster drama series ‘Missing 9’ (2017), while in the romantic comedy series ‘Suspicious Partner’ (2017), he played a lawyer.
Choi starred as the lead in the miniseries ‘Exit’ (2018), and was also featured in the comedy series ‘The Undateables’ (2018). He starred in the fantasy-comedy ‘The Man’s Voice’ (2021-2022) and the romantic comedy series ‘So I Married the Anti-fan’ (2021).
