American actor and singer of Ukrainian origin, Jack Palance is best known for his Oscar winning role as Curly in the western comedy film ‘City Slickers’ (1991). He made his debut on the big screen in the hit movie ‘Panic in the Streets’ (1950). His other highly rated performances include ‘Sudden Fear’ (1952), ‘Shane’ (1953), ‘Attack’ (1956), ‘The Professionals’ (1966), and ‘Monte Walsh’ (1970).
Some of his movies like ‘The Silver Chalice’ (1954), ‘Cops And Robbersons’ (1994), ‘City Slickers 2 – The Legend of Curley’s Cold’ (1994), and ‘Unknown Powers’ (2005) received mixed reviews.
Palance received positive reviews for his role as Louis in the television series ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ (1966) and ‘Mystery Science Theater 3000’ (1995).
