Late Australian actor and director Heath Ledger began his acting career in homeland with TV series and then debuted in films with the 1997 Australian drama thriller ‘Blackrock’. After a few years he began his career in Hollywood. He posthumously won several awards for his outstanding performance in the 2008 superhero film ‘The Dark Knight’ including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other notable films of Ledger includes ‘Brokeback Mountain’ (2005) and ‘I'm Not There’ (2007).
Starting his acting career in the early 1990s, still in his teens, Ledger had to strive for a few years initially to get a foothold in the showbiz.
