Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga artist who is internationally recognized as one of the greatest animation directors of all times. His earliest filmography included projects like 'Horus, Prince of the Sun' (1968), 'People of the Desert' (1969-70), 'Puss 'n Boots' (1969), 'Flying Phantom Ship' (1969), 'Animal Treasure Island' (1971), 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves' (1971), 'Lupin the Third Part I' (1971) and ‘Panda! Go Panda!' (1972).
In 1979, he released his first feature anime film, 'The Castle of Cagliostro'. In 1984, he adapted his manga, 'Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind', into a film, which became one of his top grossing films. In 1985, he co-founded 'Studio Ghibli' and went on to release the successful films 'Laputa: Castle in the Sky' (1986), 'My Neighbor Totoro' (1988), and 'Kiki's Delivery Service' (1989). He deviated from his early works in 'Porco Rosso' (1991) and 'Princess Mononoke' (1997), which earned him global recognition.
Despite announcing retirement, he took charge of ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ (2004) after its original director passed away, and following a short hiatus, released a new set of successful movies like ‘Ponyo’, 'Arrietty', and 'The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness'.
Ten year old Chihiro and her parents find themselves in a deserted amusement park. Overruling their daughter’s objections, her parents eat at an empty restaurant and turn into pigs. Chihiro, with the help of Haku, realises that she has entered a world inhabited by demons, spirits and evil gods. She must now figure out a way to rescue her parents and return to human world.

Kaze no tani no Naushika is a Japanese anime fantasy film that centres around Princess Nausicaä of Valley of the Wind kingdom who must save humanity from the destruction being planned by the Tolmekian kingdom whilst keeping her lands safe from the toxic jungle of the post-apocalyptic earth. Full of drama and adventure, this film was adapted from an eponymous manga comic.
