Dominic Sherwood was first seen in the British television teen drama series ‘The Cut,’ in 2010, where he played the role of ‘Jack Simmons.’ The following year, he appeared in the "Cherylistic" episode of the British children's television comedy-drama series ‘Sadie J,’ created by Robert Evans. Sherwood made his big-screen debut in the 2012 drama film ‘Not Fade Away,’ directed by David Chase. The film opened to positive reviews with some critics calling it one of the best films of 2012. He next appeared in the British drama thriller television series ‘Mayday,’ created by Ben Court and Caroline Ip. In 2014, he starred as ‘Christian Ozera’ in the fantasy comedy horror ‘Vampire Academy,’ directed by Mark Waters. The film was panned by critics and was a box office bomb. Due to the film’s poor box office performance, it was released as a direct-to-video in the United Kingdom.
In 2016, he joined the main cast of the American supernatural drama television series ‘Shadowhunters.’ His performance as ‘Jace Herondale’ in the series earned him 2 ‘Teen Choice Award’ nominations. The show aired its final episode in May 2019. He next appeared in the 2017 fantasy horror film 'Don't Sleep,’ directed by Rick Bieber. The film received negative response from critics. He was last seen playing the role of ‘Kurt’ in the American historical dark fantasy television series ‘Penny Dreadful: City of Angels’ (2020). He is all set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Eraser: Reborn.’
