David Essex is an English singer and actor, best known for his 1973 single ‘Rock On.’ He won a ‘Grammy Award’ nomination for this single. He released his first record, ‘And the Tears Came Tumbling Down,’ in 1965. Since then, he has earned 19 Top 40 Singles in the UK. He also had two number one singles. David made his screen debut in an uncredited role in the 1967 film ‘Smashing Time.’ Some of his popular films are ‘All Coppers Are..’ (1972), ‘That’ll Be the Day’ (1973), ‘Stardust‘ (1974), ‘Rece do gory’ (1981), ‘Tribe’ (2011), and The Black Prince’ (2017). Some of his unsuccessful films are ‘In the Devil’s Garden’ (1971), ‘The Big Bus’ (1976), and ‘Journey of Honor’ (1991). He was also seen in several TV series, such as ‘London Bridge’ (1974), ‘The River’ (1988), ‘Heartbeat’ (2000), and ‘EastEnders’ (2011).
