David McCallum worked as an assistant stage manager before pursuing acting. He kicked-off his acting career with minor roles in British films and did boy voices for BBC Radio. His first acting role came with ‘Whom the Gods Love, Die Young.’
He appeared in various roles in films, including ‘Robbery Under Arms,’ ‘A Night To Remember,’ and ‘Violent Playground,’ before starring as agent IIIya Kuryakin in a spy-fiction television series ‘The Man from U.N.C..L.E.’ During the course of the show, McCallum bagged in two ‘Emmy Award’ nominations.
He gained global recognition for his performance in ‘NCIS,’ an action police procedural television series where he starred as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard.
