Ayesha Takia is a former Indian film actress. She started her career as a model at age 15, appearing in popular commercials and music videos including I’m a Complan Girl!" and Falguni Pathak's "Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye". She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’ (2004) which was commercially unsuccessful.
In her career, Ayesha Takia has appeared in several flop films. Her movies that failed to impress the masses are 'Dil Maange More' (2004), 'Socha Na Tha' (2005), 'Shaadi No. 1' (2005), 'Home Delivery' (2005), 'Shaadi Se Pehle' (2006), 'Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota' (2006), 'Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love' (2007), 'Kya Love Story Hai' (2007), 'Fool & Final' (2007), 'Cash' (2007), 'Blood Brothers' (2007), 'No Smoking' (2007), 'Sunday' (2008), 'De Taali' (2008), '8 x 10 Tasveer' (2009) and 'Paathshaala' (2010). However, Takia has managed to garner appreciation for her performances in the movies 'Dor' (2006) and 'Wanted' (2009).
Viren is forced by his father to meet a girl named Aditi for an arranged marriage, but Viren wants to fall in love before marrying. Therefore, he refuses the match, and all arrangement are called off. He soon meets Karen, the girl of his dreams, and despite being of different religions, everything goes smoothly and their marriage is fixed. Salaam-E-Ishq is a romantic comedy drama musical film which revolves around the lives of six different couples, as they try to deal with different problems that complicate their lives.
