Aaron Paul first appeared in the Episode: "Fortune Cookie" of the American teen drama television series ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ in 1999. He went on to make his big-screen debut in the 2000 American teen comedy film ‘Whatever It Takes’ directed by David Raynr. The film saw mostly negative reviews upon release and received a 16% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That same year, he also voiced ‘Chuck’ in the Danish-German-Irish traditionally animated science fantasy musical film ‘Help! I'm a Fish’ directed by Stefan Fjeldmark, Greg Manwaring, and Michael Hegner. He next starred in films like ‘K-PAX’ (2001), ‘National Lampoon's Van Wilder’ (2002), ‘Perfect Opposites’ (2004), ‘Bad Girls from Valley High’ (2005), and ‘Choking Man’ (2006). He played the role of ‘Rick Meade’ in the 2006 American action spy film, ‘Mission: Impossible III’ directed by J. J. Abrams. The film opened to a positive critical reception and was a commercial success, grossing over $398.5 million on a budget of $150 million. In 2008, he joined the main cast of the American neo-Western crime drama television series ‘Breaking Bad’ created by Vince Gilligan. He played the role of ‘Jesse Pinkman’ in the series which earned him several awards including 3 ‘Primetime Emmy Awards.’ The series ran for 5 seasons and aired its final episode in 2013.
In 2014, he starred as ‘Tobey Marshall’ in the Scott Waugh-directed action thriller film ‘Need for Speed.’ The film was largely panned by critics but managed to come out as a decent box office success, grossing over $203.3 million on a budget of $66 million. That same year, he also played the role of ‘Joshua’ in the biblical epic film ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’ directed by Ridley Scott. The film was a critical and commercial failure.
