Tracy Pollan is an American actress, best known for the role of Ellen Reed in the sitcom ‘Family Ties,’ one of the most iconic sitcoms from the 1980s. Tracy was born and raised in New York and learned acting from well-known acting schools, eventually making her on-screen acting debut in 1982 with the television film ‘For Lovers Only.’ It was followed by a small role in the film ‘Baby It’s you.’
Throughout the early 1980s, Tracy Pollan appeared in many television films, such as ‘Sessions’ and ‘A Good Sport.’ Her first prominent television project was the sitcom ‘Family Ties,’ in 1985, where she played the role of Ellen Reed for 13 episodes.
