Swedish actress Paulina Porizkova made her acting debut in the modeling mockumentary, ‘Portfolio’ in 1983. She co-starred with Tom Selleck in the romantic comedy film ‘Her Alibi’ in 1989. The film was a big flop and she was nominated for a Golden Raspberry for worst actress for her role in the film.
In 1993, the actress appeared in Emir Kusturica's film ‘Arizona Dream,’ co-starring Johnny Depp and Jerry Lewis. She played the role of Lewis’ young Polish fiancée. After years of playing minor roles in movies, she finally bagged the main female lead role in the thriller-black comedy film ‘Thursday’ in 1998.
In 2001, she wrote and directed the film 'Roommates.’ The same year, she acted in the thriller film ‘Dark Asylum,’ appearing alongside Judd Nelson. She played the character of the mistress of Scott Cohen in the romantic comedy ‘Knots’ in 2004. She later appeared in an episode of the Starz comedy series ‘Head Case,’ which aired in 2009. Alongside model Heidi Klum, Paulina appeared in a 6th-season episode of ‘Desperate Housewives’ called ‘Chromolume No. 7.’
She appeared in an episode of the ABC Family drama-comedy TV series ‘Jane by Design’ in March 2012. She made a guest appearance in the drama-comedy TV series ‘The Mysteries of Laura’ in February 2015.
