Natalia Danielle Dyer began her acting career at 8 with a stage-production of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird.’ She made her screen debut in ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’ (2009) as ‘Clarissa Granger,’ followed by a role in adventure-film ‘The Greening of Whitney Brown’ (2011).
After appearing in comedy-drama film ‘Blue Like Jazz’ (2012), and fantasy-horror ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ (2013), Dyer starred as romantic lead ‘Davina’ in coming-of-age film ‘I Believe in Unicorns’ (2014). Next, she was seen in two short films (‘The City of Lights’ and ‘Till Dark’) and romantic-drama ‘Long Nights Short Mornings’ (2016).
Dyer got her breakthrough-role as ‘Nancy Wheeler,’ older sister of the boy who’s looking for his mysteriously disappeared friend, in Netflix sci-fi horror-series ‘Stranger Things’ (2016-present). Along with the cast she won ‘Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by Ensemble in Drama-series’.
Dyer starred in short-film ‘Yes, God, Yes’ (2017) which was later made into comedy-drama film of same name (2019). She co-starred with Frances Conroy in independent-drama ‘Mountain Rest’ (2018). In 2019, she starred in sci-fi film ‘After Darkness,’ horror-thriller ‘Velvet Buzzsaw,’ and drama-film ‘Tuscaloosa.’ Further she featured in horror-film ‘Things Heard and Seen’ (2021).
