Hasan Minhaj is an American actor, comedian and writer who rose to fame as a senior correspondent on ‘The Daily Show,’ in 2014. A political science major, Hasan got into comedy after watching Chris Rock’s ‘Never Scared.’ He started opening for comedians like Pablo Francisco and Gabriel Iglesias.
He made his TV debut in ‘The Wanda Sykes Show’ (2010). In 2011, he appeared as himself in ‘Disaster Date.’ He got his big break in American TV sitcom ‘State of Georgia.’ He also appeared in shows such as ‘Arrested Development’ (2013) and ‘Getting On’ (2013) before he joined ‘The Daily Show’ in 2014. In 2017, his first stand-up special, ‘Homecoming King,’ debuted on Netflix.
In 2018, he joined ‘Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj’ as the host. He has also worked in films such as ‘Rough Night’ (2017) and ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me’ (2018).
