George Cukor was an eminent American film director. His career flourished at ‘RKO,’ an American film distribution and production company. He directed various major films under the banner, including ‘Our Betters,’ ‘What Price Hollywood,’ ‘Little Women,’ and ‘A Bill of Divorcement.’
In 1933, when the Head of the Production, David O. Selznick moved to MGM, Cukor too joined MGM and directed ‘David Copperfield,’ and ‘Dinner at Eight.’
He also directed ‘Camille’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ He also bagged in an ‘Academy Award’ for directing ‘My Fair Lady.’
Some of his other notable films include ‘A Star is Born,’ ‘The Philadelphia Story,’ ‘Adam’s Rib,’ ‘Bhowani Junction,’ ‘Gaslight,’ and ‘Born Yesterday.’
