A police detective in Manhattan is investigating the murder of a woman in her fashionable apartment. As the detective becomes more and more involved with the case, he also finds himself in love with the dead woman.  

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is a fantasy drama film which tells the story of Mrs. Lucy Muir, a widow, who moves to a village near the seaside, despite the disapproval of her in-laws. She rents a house which has a reputation of being haunted by the spirit of a seaman. However, it soon seems that not only the rumors about the ghost are true, but the ghost is quite harmless.   

Novelist Richard Harland meets Ellen Berent, a beautiful socialite from Boston, and they soon get attracted to each other. Soon, they get married, but Ellen seems to be quite over-possessive of her husband, and forbids everyone from getting close to him. Her possessive nature soon begins to make her mentally deranged.

Con man Harry Fabian aspires to become a major fight promoter who rules the neighbourhood. However, when an aging Greek wrestler whom Fabian was promoting dies, all he earns is a one-way ticket to trouble. 

Where the Sidewalk Ends is a crime film which tells the story of Mark Dixon, a police detective, who is demoted for his aggressive and violent behavior. Despite this, he always wants to be on the good side of the law, unlike his criminal father. Problems arise when he begins to fall for a woman named Morgan, who is involved in a murder case that he is investigating.  

The Razor’s Edge is a romantic drama film which tells the story of an adventurous young man who loses his socialite fiancée after he sets off to India, on a journey of self-discovery. However, after his return ten years later, she wants him back, despite the fact that she is already married. He also gets reacquainted with Sophie, an old friend from Chicago, who has become an alcoholic after losing both her husband and her child in an accident.

Robert Leffingwell is chosen as the President’s nominee for Secretary of State. However, prior to his approval, he needs to go through a Senate investigation that will determine if he is qualified. It is soon revealed that he used to have affiliations with a communist organization in the past.

Heaven Can Wait is a romantic comedy drama fantasy film which tells the story of Henry Van Cleve, who presents himself at the gates to the underworld, after his death. However, in order to be allowed entry into hell, he has to prove his worthiness to the devil.

Unfortunately, Carrie has incestuous desires for Julian and tricks Lily into betraying Julian. When Julian finds out the truth everybody abandons Carrie.

In late nineteenth century Argentina, a young gaucho is sentenced to military duty; but leaves his post to lead a band of gauchos in resisting railroad encroachment in Pampas and while doing so falls in love with an aristocrat woman and decides to elope with her. Meanwhile, his commanding officer has also left the army in order to pursue him.    

A salesgirl at a departmental, who dreams of becoming rich, is coaxed by two con artists to join their marrying-for-money scheme and becomes a tool to attract young marriageable men, whom they later swindle. But the problem arises when she actually falls in love with their next target, a man wanting to buy a yacht for $15,000.  

Close to My Heart is a drama film, which tells the story of a couple, Brad and Midge, who is unable to have a biological child. They eventually decide to adopt a baby abandoned at a police station. However, they soon find out that the baby’s father might be a murderer.

Hudson’s Bay is a historical film, which revolves around the adventures of a French Canadian Explorer Pierra Espirit Radisson. Along with his associate Gooseberry,  Radisson plans to build a vast fur business in the Hudson Bay area.

The movie is a fictionalized retelling of the Pilgrims’ voyage on board the Mayflower, to North America to establish the Plymouth Colony. As a love triangle with tragic consequences develops between the Capt. Christopher Jones, Dorothy Bradford, and her husband William Bradford, the movie also provides a description of the voyage. 

Philip Sutherland, a US reporter stationed at Moscow during the cold war era, marries a Russian ballerina named Marya. But when it is time to return home, Marya fails to get the exit permit, forcing Phillip to return alone. The story then goes on to depict how Phillip manages to smuggle out not only Marya, but also her friend, who is in similar situation. 

Johnny Williams is a cameraman who is taken into custody by the Japanese military, as they want him to take pictures for them. They offer him a significant sum of money for his work. However, Johnny is not interested, and therefore he is put back into the cell. He meets Major Bull Weed, who had served with the Chinese during the war. With help from a woman, the two men manage to escape from their cells.  

Sundown is set during the Second World War. The story revolves around a mysterious native woman of Somaliland who helps the British against the Nazis. 

The Pleasures Seekers is a romantic comedy musical film which tells the story of three women Maggie, Fran and Susie, who are vacationing in Spain. Maggie falls for a married newsman named Paul Barton, while Fran finds herself attracted to a handsome doctor. Meanwhile, Susie receives a proposal from Emilio, a smooth-talking womanizer.
