Donald Clark aka Donny Osmond, member of singing family ‘The Osmonds,’ appeared with his brothers on ‘The Andy Williams Show’ from the age 5 (1963-1970).
After co-hosting ‘The Mike Douglas Show’ for a week (1974) with his sister Marie, the siblings got their own variety series ‘The Donny & Marie Show’ (1976-1979), achieving success and popularity. He made guest-appearances on the series ‘The Love Boat,’ ‘Johnny Bravo,’ ‘The King of Queens,’ ‘Friends,’ ‘Hannah Montana,’ and others.
Osmond and Marie starred in not-so-successful musical adventure comedy-film ‘Goin’ Coconut’ (1978). He appeared in Western romantic-comedy TV-film ‘The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch’ (1982).
With Marie, Osmond co-hosted syndicated talk-show ‘Donny & Marie’ (1998-2000) earning Emmy nominations for ‘Outstanding Talk-Show Host.’ He hosted game-show ‘Pyramid’ (2002-2004) which fetched Emmy nominations for ‘Outstanding Game-Show Host.’ He also hosted ‘Pyramid’ on UK channel in 2007, and British version of game-show ‘Identity’ (2007). He hosted ‘The Great American Dream Vote’ (2007) which was cancelled after 2 episodes.
Osmond provided singing in animated-musical ‘Mulan’ (1998). In TV-film ‘Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamboat’ (1999), Osmond essayed ‘Joseph’ which he had performed successfully on stage. In TV-film ‘Bob the Builder: Built to be Wild’ (2005), he played ‘Jackaroo.’ He starred in family comedy-movie ‘College Road Trip’ (2008).
Osmond was the winner of the season 9 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (2009) and guest judge of season 18 (2014). He was runner-up in the reality singing competition series ‘The Masked Singer’ (2019).
