Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga, popularly known as Lea Salonga, is a Filipina singer and actress, best known for lending her voice to two popular ‘Disney’ Princesses; ‘Jasmine’ in ‘Aladdin’ (1992) and ‘Fa Mulan’ in ‘Mulan’ (1998). She is known as a ‘Disney Legend’ since 2011 for her collaboration with the ‘Walt Disney Company.’ She is known for her theatre performances as well.
She became the first Asian woman to win a ‘Tony Award’ for her performance as ‘Kim’ in the musical ‘Miss Saigon ‘in the ‘West End’ and ‘Broadway.’ She also starred as ‘Mei-li’ in the ‘Broadway’ version of ‘Flower Drum Song’ (2002). She also toured different cities to play the character of ‘Cinderella.’ She was a part of the ‘Broadway’ play ‘Allegiance ‘from 2015 to 2016, followed by another performance in the ‘Broadway’ revival of Once on This Island (2017 to 2019).
Also known as My Neighbour Totoro, the Japanese animated classic depicts the story of sisters Satsuki and Mei after they move to an old country house. They become friends with spirits called susuwatari and particularly the adorable creature Totoro, while they come to terms with their mother’s illness and personal trials.
Aladdin, a poor but kind-hearted street urchin, is hired by Jafar, the Royal Vizier, to retrieve a magical lamp from a mysterious cave. After being betrayed, he uses the genie inside the lamp to escape the cave and to become a prince so he could woo Princess Jasmine, but soon gets dragged into an evil plot by Jafar.

Learning about this, her ancestors send for a mighty stone dragon to protect her, but the disgraced small dragon Mushu ends up as her companion.
