Christina Crawford is an American actress and author. She is best known for her book titled ‘Mommie Dearest’ (1978), which depicted her growth and relationship with film actress Joan Crawford, who adopted Christina from a baby broker, in Nevada. She started her acting career with theatre and off-Broadway shows, such as ‘In Color on Sundays’ (1958), ‘Dark of the Moon (1959), and ‘The Moon is Blue’ (1960). She made her film debut as ‘Monica George’ in ‘Wild in the Country’ (1961). However, she was offered her first film role in 1960, in the film ‘Force of Impulse,’ but the film released in 1961. She made her first TV appearance on ‘Here’s Hollywood’ around the same time. Some of her popular TV shows include ‘The Secret Storm’ (1968-69), ‘Matt Lincoln’ (1970), ‘Medical Center’ (1970), ‘Marcus Welby, M.D.’ (1971), ‘Ironside (1971), and ‘The Sixth Sense’ (1972).
