American film and television producer Aaron Spelling was ranked as the 11th top earning deceased celebrity by Forbes in 2009. He produced hit television series like ‘Charlie’s Angels’ (1976 – 81), ‘The Love Boat’ (1977 – 86), ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ (1990 – 2000), and ‘Charmed’ (1998 – 2006).Â
Spelling had a difficult childhood due to constant anti Semitic bullying in school, as a result of which he lost the use of his legs due to trauma. However, after being confined to bed for almost a year, he recovered completely and never looked back.Â
He made his acting debut in ‘Vicki’ (1953), followed by the television series ‘I Led Three Lives’ the same year. He formed his own production company called Thomas – Spelling Productions with comedian Danny Thomas, in 1965. He was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1978 and inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1996.
