Riley Keough made her acting debut in the 2010 American biographical drama film ‘The Runaways’ directed by Floria Sigismondi. While the film received favorable reviews from critics, it failed to make a mark on the box office. Following her debut, she went on to appear in films like ‘The Good Doctor’ (2011), ‘Jack & Diane’ (2011), ‘Magic Mike’ (2012), ‘Yellow’ (2012), and ‘Kiss of the Damned’ (2012). In 2015, she starred as ‘Capable’ in the Australian post-apocalyptic action film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’ The film opened to universal acclaim with critics praising the action and narrative of the movie.
In 2016, Keough got her breakthrough role as ‘Christine Reade’ in the American anthology drama television series ‘The Girlfriend Experience.’ Her performance in the series earned her a ‘Golden Globe Award’ nomination. The following year, she appeared in the American heist comedy film ‘Logan Lucky’ directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film opened to rave reviews and was a commercial success. In 2018, she starred as Jacqueline "Simple" in the horror film ‘The House That Jack Built.’ The film had the critics divided with some calling it a “wild masterpiece” while others criticizing its grizzly and violent tone.
Keough went on to star in films like ‘Under the Silver Lake’ (2018), ‘Hold the Dark’ (2018), ‘The Lodge’ (2019), ‘Earthquake Bird’ (2019), ‘Zola’ (2020), and ‘The Devil All the Time’ (2020). She was last seen in the 2021 American crime thriller film ‘The Guilty’ directed by Antoine Fuqua. The film was a remake of the 2018 Danish film of the same name. While the movie received positive reviews, the critics felt that it fell short in surpassing the original film. Keough is all set to appear in the upcoming television miniseries ‘Daisy Jones & The Six.’ She will also be a part of the upcoming thriller drama series ‘The Terminal List.‘
