Minka Dumont Dufay or Minka Kelly first appeared in a short-film ‘The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious’ (2003) in an uncredited role, and then in 2004 in guest-roles in sitcom ‘Cracking Up,’ Nickelodeon’s ‘Drake & Josh,’ and the drama-series ‘American Dreams’ (2005).
Kelly played a recurring role in the sitcom ‘What I Like About You’ (2005). In the drama-series ‘Friday Night Lights’ (2006), she played the protagonist, ‘cheerleader Lyla Garrity,’ which brought her acclaim. The same year she appeared in the slasher-film ‘The Pumpkin Carve’ and ‘State’s Evidence.’
Kelly featured in the action-thriller ‘The Kingdom’ (2007), the romantic-drama ‘500 Days of Summer’ (2009), and the comedy-drama series ‘Parenthood’ (2010-2011). She appeared as ‘Eve’ in the action-crime series ‘Charlie’s Angels’ (2011), while her performance in the psychological-thriller film ‘The Roommate’ (2011) brought a lot of praise. In 2011, she also appeared in the romantic-comedy ‘Just Go With It,’ and starred in the mystery-film ‘Searching for Sonny.’
Kelly portrayed ‘Jacqueline Kennedy’ in ‘The Butler’ (2013), and played the lead in the crime-drama series ‘Almost Human’ (2013-2014). Her subsequent appearances include ‘The World Made Straight’ (2014), ‘Night Hunter’ (2018), TV-film ‘The Beach House’ (2018), ‘She is in Portland’ (2020), ‘Lansky’ (2021). She essays ‘Dawn Granger/Dove’ in the superhero streaming TV-series ‘Titans’ (2018--).
