Poland born American model and actress, Joanna Krupa has appeared on the covers of over 100 magazines worldwide including Cosmopolitan, Shape, and Playboy. Maxim magazine named her the sexiest swimsuit model in the world and also included her in their list of the world's hottest women. On screen, she appeared in the movie ‘The Underground Comedy Movie’ (role: Beautiful girl) in 1999 followed by Tim Burton directed science fiction film ‘Planet of the Apes’ in 2001 (role: friend at Leo's party). She was then seen in a straight-to-DVD action film ‘Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon’ (role: Jane Goody, 2004), the comedy film ‘The Dog Problem’(role: Taffy, 2006), the drama movie ‘Ripple Effect’ (role: Vicky, 2007), the action comedy ‘Six Days in Paradise’ (role: Ginger, 2010), the comedy ‘InAPPropriate Comedy’ (role: Beautiful Girl #2, 2013), the family drama ‘Another Day in Paradise’ (role: Stacy, 2016) and the mystery thriller ‘You Can't Have It’ (role: Jackie, 2017).
On television, Joanna Krupa did an uncredited role in television series ‘ER’ (1994) before appearing in Comedy Central’s comedy talk show ‘The Man Show’ as Juggy Dancer in 2002-2003. She then acted in an episode each of the comedy drama series ‘Las Vegas’ (episode: ‘Degas Away with It’, 2004) and the procedural forensics crime drama television series ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ (episode: ‘Kiss Kiss, Bye Bye’, 2006). In 2009, she participated as a contestant in ‘The Superstars’ and later in the dance competition series ‘Dancing with the Stars’. In the latter, she was paired up with Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer Derek Hough and together they finished fourth in the show. The following year, she was roped in as the host and head judge of the Polish version of reality show ‘Top Model’. She has been with the show for ten seasons now. In 2012, she joined the cast of American reality television series ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ and till 2013 appeared as herself in its 34 episodes.
Her other appearances on television series include an episode – ‘Time of My Life’ – of ‘Wedding Band’ (as Beth, 2012) and a couple of episodes of ‘The Doctors’ (as herself, 2013). Additionally, she has appeared in the documentaries ‘Love of Dogs: Dog Rescue Beyond Borders’ (2017) and ‘Growing Young’ (2018). Joanna Krupa’s upcoming project is the television movie ‘In the Blink of an Eye’.
While searching for his co-worker chimpanzee, astronaut Leo Davidson accidentally travels through vast space and time to reach a planet ruled by talking apes that treat primitive humans as slaves. Supported by the sympathetic chimpanzee Ari, he rallies a small group of human rebels against the ape army of human-hating General Thade and his associate Colonel Attar.
