James Corden first appeared in the Episode: "1.1" of the British children's TV sitcom ‘Out of Tune’ in 1996. The following year, he made his big-screen debut in the British sports drama film ‘Twenty Four Seven’ directed by Shane Meadows. He next appeared in television series like ‘Renford Rejects’ (1998), ‘Boyz Unlimited’ (1999), and ‘Hollyoaks’ (1999-2000). In 2000, he joined the cast of the British drama series ‘Fat Friends’ where he played the role of ‘Jamie Rymer.’ The show aired its final episode in 2005. He continued to appear in television series like ‘Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story’ (2001), ‘Teachers’ (2001-2003), ‘Cruise of the Gods’ (2002), ‘Little Britain’ (2004), and ‘Dalziel and Pascoe’ (2004). In 2007, he came together with Ruth Jones to create the British sitcom ‘Gavin & Stacey.’ He also played the role of ‘Smithy’ in the series which earned him the ‘BAFTA Award,’ ‘British Comedy Award,’ ‘Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award,’ and ‘Broadcasting Press Guild Award.’ ‘Gavin & Stacey’ aired 21 episodes and went off-air in 2010.Â
Corden was next seen in films like ‘How to Lose Friends & Alienate People’ (2008), ‘Lesbian Vampire Killers’ (2009), ‘Planet 51’ (2009), ‘Gulliver's Travels’ (2010), ‘The Three Musketeers’ (2011), ‘One Chance’ (2013), and ‘Begin Again’ (2013). In 2014, he created the British BBC Television comedy-drama series ‘The Wrong Mans’ where he also played the role of ‘Philip Neville Bourne.’ The show aired its final episode in 2014. Coden also received 4 ‘BAFTA Award’ nominations for his performance in the show. In 2015, he joined the American late-night talk show ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ as a host. The show is currently airing its 8th season. Corden has received 3 ‘Primetime Emmy Awards’ during his time on the show. He went on to appear in television series and shows like ‘Beat Bugs’ (2016), ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’ (2016), and ‘Trolls Holiday’ (2017). In 2017, he and Ben Winston launched the American streaming television series ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series.’ The series was renewed for a fifth season in August 2021.Â
Apart from television series and shows, he also appeared in films like ‘The Emoji Movie’ (2017), ‘Peter Rabbit’ (2018), ‘Ocean's 8’ (2018), ‘Cats’ (2019), ‘Trolls World Tour’ (2020), ‘The Prom’ (2020), and ‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’ (2021). Corden was last seen in the 2021 romantic musical film ‘Cinderella’ directed by Kay Cannon. The film received a mixed response from critics.
