Emmanuelle Seigner is a French actress, singer, and a former model. She is best known for playing ‘Vanda Jourdain’ in the French film ‘Venus in Fur’ (2013). She was nominated for the ‘César Award for Best Actress’ for her performance in the film. She is also known for films, such as ‘Frantic’ (1988), ‘Place Vendôme’ (1998), for which she won another ‘César Award’ nomination; ‘The Ninth Gate’ (1999), ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’ (2007), and ‘La Vie En Rose’ (2007), for which she again earned a ‘César Award’ nomination. She made her acting debut in the French film ‘Year of the Jellyfish,’ in 1984. She has starred in more than 20 films, including ‘Le Sourire’ (1994), ‘Nirvana’ (1997), ‘Happily Ever After’ (2004), ‘Four Last Songs’ (2007), ‘A Few Hours of Spring’ (2012), ‘The Siege of Jadotville’ (2016), and ‘An Officer and a Spy’ (2019). She is married to French-Polish director Roman Polanski.
