Emily Irene VanCamp first appeared in children’s horror anthology-series ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’, Emmy-nominated TV-film ‘Jackie Bouvier Kennedy Onassis’ as ‘young Jackie’ and sitcom ‘Radio Active,’ all in 2000.
VanCamp made feature-film debut with a supporting role in drama-film ‘Lost and Delirious’ (2001), followed by TV-miniseries ‘Dice’ (2001), and TV-film ‘Redeemer’ (2002).
VanCamp’s series-regular role in suspense-drama ‘Glory Days’ (2002) led to a major role as ‘Amy Abbott’ in drama-series ‘Everwood’ (2002-2006) fetching recognition and nominations for multiple ‘Teen Choice Awards’ and a ‘Young Artist Award.’
VanCamp featured in crime-thriller ‘No Good Deed’ (2002), drama-film ‘A Different Loyalty’ (2004), horror-short ‘Rings’ (2005), ‘The Ring 2’(2005), coming-of-age drama ‘Black Irish’ (2007), and post-apocalyptic horror-film ‘Carriers’ (2009).
In 2007, VanCamp joined the cast of family-drama series ‘Brothers & Sisters’ as ‘Rebecca Harper’ (2007-2010). Her lead role in indie-drama film ‘Norman’ (2010) won her ‘San Diego Film Festival Award’ and ‘Breckenridge Festival of Films’ award.
VanCamp’s TV-miniseries ‘Ben Hur’ (2010) was followed by lead-role in true-story TV-film ‘Beyond the Blackboard’ (2011). She was cast as vengeful ‘Emily Thorne’ in twisty drama-series ‘Revenge’ (2011) which earned fame and ‘Teen Choice Awards’ nominations.
VanCamp starred as ‘Special Agent Sharon Carter’ in MCU’s superhero-film ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ (2014), sequel ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016), and Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ & ‘What If…?’ (both 2021).
VanCamp played central character ‘Alice’ in indie-drama ‘The Girl in the Book’ (2015), and a bi-lingual role in ‘Boundaries’ (2016). In medical-drama series ‘The Resident’ (2018-2021) she portrayed lead ‘Nicolette Nevin.’
