Barbara Eden is a popular American actress and singer best known for her starring role in the popular sitcom ‘I Dream of Jeannie’, in which she played the titular role of Jeannie. Starting her career with stage, she made her on-screen debut with ‘The Johnny Carson Show’ as an irregular part of the cast. From there, she appeared in several TV series’ in guest and small appearances such as ‘I Love Lucy’, ‘The West Point Story’ and ‘Highway Patrol’.
She made her film debut with ‘Back from Eternity’ in late 60s and in the early phases of her career, she starred in minor roles. She climbed the ladder up to major roles with the film ‘A Private’s Affair’ and did some more notable films after that, such as ‘All Hands on Desk’, ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’, ‘The Brass Bottle’, ‘The Yellow Canary’ and ‘Five Weeks in a Balloon’.
Despite playing some key roles in some major motion pictures, the project which brought her the biggest fame was her leading role in the sitcom ‘I Dream of Jeannie’, which is known as the best role of her career.
