Taylor Momsen is an American singer, songwriter, former actress, and model who garnered attention as a child artist in the role of Cindy Lou Who in Ron Howard's adaptation of 'Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas' in 2000. It was followed up with three successful films in 2002: she played Julie Moore in the war-film 'We Were Soldiers', the President's daughter Alexandra in the spy-adventure movie 'Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams', and portrayed Gretel, one of the leads, in the motion picture 'Hansel and Gretel'.
On television, she had an uncredited role in the drama series 'Early Edition' (1998), and was selected as one of the main casts in the teen drama series 'Gossip Girl' (2007-2010) in one of her best roles as Jennifer "Jenny" Humphrey. While she left acting to pursue a career as a singer during her teenage years, her short filmography consists of movies such as 'Saving Shiloh' (2006), 'Paranoid Park' (2007), 'Underdog (2007) and 'Spy School' (2008).
